The start of the 2022 academic year for the NRW police is imminent. The official acceptance letters for the new trainee inspectors are on their way. Only Celina's is probably already framed and hanging on the wall. The 18-year-old received her acceptance letter in person - from NRW Minister of the Interior Herbert Reul.
As if being accepted into Team 110 by the Minister of the Interior wasn't exciting enough, Celina didn't know anything about her fate until the very end. Together with "Commissioner Danger", the radio presenter Daniel Danger from the NRW police YouTube series, and her parents, Celina's future colleagues organized a very special surprise.
Moment for eternity on tape
A remote petrol station in Neuss, where anything would be more likely than an encounter with Interior Minister Herbert Reul, served as the setting. Hidden cameras captured the moment in which Celina was surprised by Inspector Danger as the cashier and Herbert Reul as the petrol station customer, complete with a notice of appointment.
This makes Celina one of 2,600 trainee inspectors in the NRW police force to start their studies in September this year. The application phase for recruitment in 2023 is currently still in full swing. Interested candidates still have the opportunity to apply until October 8. Information on the requirements and all aspects of the application and selection process for the dual course of study in the Police CID can be found at www.genau-mein-fall.de.
