(jd) A 60-year-old woman from Bünder was riding her pedelec on the cycle lane next to Elsestraße in the direction of Elsedamm at 11.40 a.m. on Thursday (10.07.). At the same time, a 21-year-old man from Lübbecke was driving his VW on Elsestraße and intended to turn onto Elsedamm. He initially stopped his vehicle, but then hit the pedelec rider with his VW as he started off. The impact caused her to fall onto the road and she was seriously injured. First aiders looked after the woman until the emergency services arrived. The damage to the pedelec and car is in the four-figure range.
